This program will continue on from Intro to Introduction to Wilderness Camping and take hikers further into the backcountry for 2 nights of camping. We will venture up onto a ridgeline following the Appalachian Trail. After establishing a camp the first night and gaining some elevation, we will continue the next day to the beautiful pinnacle. The Pinnacle offers some of the best views in PA along the AT. After stopping for lunch at the pinnacle we will venture further down the trail and follow a beautiful stream. Here we enjoy the sounds of rushing water as we relax next to a campfire. The following day we will have a short hike out to the trailhead. Campers will have plenty of time to enjoy the backcountry and further develop their backpacking skills with an experienced EMS guide.
