There are many great local cliffs for your first rock climbing trip near the eastern shore of Lake Champlain. We'll teach you how to tie in and belay and spend the rest of the day climbing on Vermont Schist right outside of Burlington.
Sunday intro Climbing Clinics $95
This 6 hour intro to rock climbing clinic is offered every Sunday through October. Meet at Eastern Mountain Sports in South Burlington at 9am for a day on the rocks. Just pack your lunch, dress to be outside and we will do the rest.All technical climbing equipment supplied.
Basic Rock climbing lesson
Our basic rock lesson is a perfect introduction to climbing outdoors. Equipment, terminology, knots, belaying, and climbing techniques are just a few of the subjects to be discussed on this full day course. A basic Rock lesson can be scheduled for any date.

The first and last Sunday –Monday in August is the time to be in Burlington, VT. Spend a day out kayaking with the Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School followed by a day on the rocks with Eastern Mountain Sports Climbing School.
