Janet Bergman
Janet, an Ohio native, discovered a passion for the mountains in early adulthood. She joined the Climbing School in 2004, specializing in technical rock climbing and also providing ice climbing and mountaineering instruction. Janet's climbing and guiding adventures have taken her all around the US as well as to Canada, Peru, Argentina, South Africa, China and Nepal. Her favorite destinations are still here in the northeast, at Cathedral Ledge, Pawtuckaway, Shagg Crag and throughout the White Mountains. Janet is a certified Emergency Medical Technician, AIARE Level 1 and a member of the Mountain Rescue Service. She freelance writes for magazines and consults to nonprofit organizations in her other work life and is building a cabin with her boyfriend Freddie in nearby Madison.
